Mechanical Design Engineer

4Dx is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our world-class Melbourne team.  4Dx is an expanding med-tech company placed at the intersection of physiology, X-ray physics, fluid mechanics, software engineering and hardware development. This position represents a unique opportunity for a talented, creative and committed Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of entirely novel, high-tech medical devices. The device development is a key activity of a Government-funded project co-ordinated by the Australian Lung Health Initiative (ALHI), a joint venture involving academia and industry. The objective of this new, multi-partner project is to deliver innovative X-ray imaging scanners to improve lung health diagnostics for adults and children. The mechanical engineer will work with 4Dx engineers and a diverse range of external collaborators to develop ground-breaking medical imaging systems. Occasional travel to partner sites in Melbourne and Adelaide may be required.

Design Engineer (Control Systems)

4Dx is seeking an electrical or mechanical engineer with a strong background in system control to join our world-class Melbourne team.  4Dx is an expanding med-tech company placed at the intersection of physiology, X-ray physics, fluid mechanics, software engineering and hardware development. This position represents a unique opportunity for a talented control systems expert to take a central role in the development of entirely novel, high-tech medical devices. The device development is a key activity of a Government-funded project co-ordinated by the Australian Lung Health Initiative (ALHI), a joint venture involving academia and industry. The objective of this new, multi-partner project is to deliver innovative X-ray imaging scanners to improve lung health diagnostics for adults and children. Software Engineer (Computer Vision)

4Dx is seeking a software engineer with experience in computer vision algorithm development to join our world-class Melbourne team.  4Dx is an expanding med-tech company placed at the intersection of physiology, X-ray physics, fluid mechanics, software engineering and hardware development. This position represents an exciting opportunity to be involved with the development of cutting-edge medical imaging technology, with application in high-impact commercial devices. This will be a key activity of a Government-funded project co-ordinated by the Australian Lung Health Initiative (ALHI), a joint venture involving academia and industry. The objective of this new, multi-partner project is to deliver innovative X-ray imaging scanners to improve lung health diagnostics for adults and children.

The software engineer will work with engineers and external collaborators to deliver innovative image processing and computer vision algorithms to enable the development of ground-breaking scanner systems. Occasional travel to collaborator sites in Melbourne may be required. A natural curiosity and eagerness to continually learn new concepts both inside and outside of your field will be a significant advantage.

Research Engineer (Medical Imaging)

4Dx is seeking a research engineer or scientist with expertise in X-ray imaging or advanced imaging techniques to join our world-class Melbourne team.  4Dx is an expanding med-tech company placed at the intersection of physiology, X-ray physics, fluid mechanics, software engineering and hardware development. This position represents an exciting opportunity to conduct research at the cutting edge of medical X-ray imaging, with application in high-impact commercial devices. The research is a key activity of a Government-funded project co-ordinated by the Australian Lung Health Initiative (ALHI), a joint venture involving academia and industry. The objective of this new, multi-partner project is to deliver innovative X-ray imaging scanners to improve lung health diagnostics for adults and children.

The Research Engineer will work with 4Dx engineers and external collaborators to conduct proof of concept studies in the field of advanced X-ray imaging and processing. The studies will involve a combination of experimental research and modeling. Occasional travel to collaborator sites in Melbourne and Adelaide may be required.
